About the authors
Kimberly A Thompson, CFRE, is presently Director of Development and Outreach, University Libraries, University of California, Santa Barbara. Her former position was at Oregon State University Foundation as Director of Development for the Libraries and the Linus Pauling Institute. She is active in Association of fund-raising Professionals (AFD), Academic Library Advancement and Development Network (ALADN) and the Development Officers of Academic Research Libraries (DORAL).
Karlene N Jennings, PhD., CFRE, is presently Director of Development at the College of William and Mary in Virginia. She previously served as Director of Development for University Libraries with the Iowa State University Foundation. She is a frequent contributor to the Bottom Line and co-author of ARL (Association of Research Libraries) SPEC Kit 297: Library Development. Karlene is an active participant in ALADN (Academic Library Advancement and Development Network) and DORAL (Development Officers of Research and Academic Libraries), as well as a member of CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) and AFP (Association of Fund-raising Professionals).
